Mailyan 10 - Appliances for correction of cross-bite

The appliance is realized in the form of connected by vestibular and lingual arches and mountable on lateral teeth of one of the dentitions support-retaining wireframes, on which vestibular and/or lingual springs are fixed  by their one ends. The other ends of the springs are fixed on the support-retaining wireframe mountable on the lateral segment of the opposite dentition, see FIG1 Mailyan 10-1. The construction has a small size and allows to normalize the position of the mandible and transversely move one of the lateral  segments.

The appliance for treatment of unilateral cross bite contains a palatal wireframe or  a clasp on which, from the side of the dentition's lateral section, which is not subject to change, support-retaining wireframes and a tooth plate with imprints of antagonist teeth are rigidly fixed, see, FIG2 Mailyan 10-2. On the other side of the palatal support the support-retaining wireframes mountable on lateral teeth segments of both jaws are fixed through orthodontic springs. Such a construction of the appliance allows to differentially expand and constrict the dentition on one of  the sides of jaws. If sagittal-transversal movements of the maxillary incisors are required , the wireframe for upper incisors is fixed on the palatal support through springs, see (Fig2).

The appliance is realized in the form of connected by vestibular and lingual arches and mountable on lateral teeth of one of the dentitions support-retaining wireframes, on which vestibular and/or lingual springs are fixed  by their one ends. The other ends of the springs are fixed on the support-retaining wireframes mountable on the lateral segments of the opposite dentition, see FIG1 Mailyan 10-4.The construction has a small size and freeing up the palatine vault allows to carry out the expansion and constriction of both dentitions and their separate segments.
The varieties of the appliance can be also realized with the previously described maxillary supports.
